ab-data and ARTEMEON agree on strategic partnership

ab-data ranks among the market-leading GovTech providers for municipal financial accounting. ARTEMEON develops and operates Governance, Risk & Compliance software solutions for banks, insurance companies and investment management companies.

The strategic partnership of ab-data and ARTEMEON leverages the specific knowledge and experience of 150 employees in both companies. This creates a software development and web-based software solutions competence center with office locations in Velbert, Ratingen and Mettmann.

Through their cooperation, both family-owned and -managed companies emphasize the importance of the Kreis Mettmann region as business location and competence center for digitization. In the medium term, the strategic partners aim to increase their joint headcount to 250 employees.

The cooperation will initially focus on the following areas:

1. HR & Recruiting
2. Vocational Training
3. Project Management and Digital Transformation
4. Software Development and DevOps
5. Use of Cloud and AI Technologies

Both companies have identified initial joint projects and plan to participate as consortium in public tenders. The strategic partnership was underlined with equity investments in both, ab-data GmbH & Co. KG and ab-data GmbH. The future management team will be formed by Dr. Markus Bremkamp and Dr. Ulrich Bongartz.
